Ingredients (All Grain10 gal)

  • 9.06 lbs Maris Otter Pale

    Maris Otter Pale

An English thoroughbred and a favored choice of malt for many brewers. Simpsons' Maris Otter has a rich and nutty flavor and despite its small, berry size has a strong husk. This malt delivers predictable brewhouse performance with modest, yet consistent extracts. Brewers can expect good runoffs with clear wort.

  • 11.17 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 0.55 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 2.93 lbs English 2-row Pils

    English 2-row Pils

    Pilsner base malt.

  • 0.54 lbs Rye Flaked

    Rye Flaked

Imparts a dry, crisp character. Use in rye beers.

  • 1.6 oz Nugget - 13.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Nugget

This is very bitter and often used in medium to dark ales and lagers. Aroma is quite heavy and herbal.

  • 2.00 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • 1.00 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • Wyeast 1028 London Ale™

    Wyeast 1028 London Ale™

Rich with a dry finish, minerally profile, bold and crisp, with some fruitiness.
