91.6 IBUs?

According to Surly, Bender is only 45 IBUs. How did you come up with this recipe? I'd love to brew a clone of Bender. But, not at 90 IBUs.

Someone should double check the IBU's for this recipe. I came up with 54!! I'll brew this within the month but will likely adjust the hop quantities a little to get closer to 45.

Mostly I just drank the beer and felt like Surly always loaded up on the IBUs. The other thing is that those magnums (and warriors to a lesser extent) always carry such a clean bitterness that I've felt like the beers i've made with them in the past have been under-bittered. you don't have to go to 90 IBUs, but if you use the magnums and go only to 40, I think you'll find that your beer carries less hop bitterness than the Bender. -IBUs down to 67
