This beer has just enough complexity to interest the beer snobs, and a light enough body to attract the beer neophytes.
Great recipe for a tough style

This is a good recipe to test your brewing chops on. Any sanitation problems or technical errors will shine through, but it still results in a likable party beer when you're inviting non-geeks.
Easy-drinking light beer

This is a style I don't want to brew often, but it's a good "gateway" beer for those who prefer american lagers. It shocks them to taste a dark beer that doesn't overwhelm them with roasty notes or hops.
