I wanted a malty evenly hopped big amber ale. Hits the spot with not too much hops.

  • White Labs WLP001 California Ale

This yeast is famous for its clean flavors, balance and ability to be used in almost any style ale. It accentuates the hop flavors and is extremely versatile.

Notes

Actaully ended up with a highlt atenuative yeast and the final gravity was really low. So this is not as malty and there is a taste of alcohol. But still on eof my best beers ever.

Awesome

The beer ended up with a low F.G. 1.009 and more alcohol than expected, but it tastes awesome. It has a decent amount of hops, but not too much. Extremely smooth and a little dry for such a high gravity beer.
