Bubbling Away

2008-12-05 9:38am

Brewed yesterday, all went well until sparging, didn't recover as much wort as I thought I should have. Compensated by adding more water. OG 1.047. Pitched yeast. Today we are Bubbling Away.

Taste Indeed

2008-12-17 5:27pm

Just poured my first draft beer from my home made system. Very nice white head with a wonderful cascade aroma. Nice amber color, very taste indeed mildly sweet up front with a nice bitter finish. German smoked grains gives this beer a unique but not overpowering flavor. This will not last long.

Finally Smoke

As this ages the smokey flavor intensifies, the sweetness of the malts mellows and the bitterness of the hops shines thru. Will certainly make again.
