Huh. Well I guess you don't really know unless you've tried it right? :) I don't think the brewmasters that perfected Newcastle would agree it's the same. I would never expect them to say that for any brew, let alone one from a recipe so simple. However, it did still turn out great. Home brewing is all about the fun of brewing your own recipe and having it come out like you expected. Nothing that comes from a 6 gallon carbouy will be a perfect match for a Newcastle.

Sorry to upset you, All I was saying to home brew the castle we need to blend two beers. Iam a big fan of castle and have two recipe clones if you would like just let me know. there are awesome,
