Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.
Notes
Brewed 5/7/05 OG 1.064 I added .5lb of Black Patent to this recipe insted of .33lb. That turned the brew into a dry stout instead. Tasted great young, but then the fruitiness of the American Ale yeast pulled through. Still good though. This would make a nice recipe for an American Dry Stout with the right yeast.
