Ingredients (Extract23 L)

  • .2 kg British Dark Crystal

    British Dark Crystal

    Sweet caramel flavor, mouthfeel. For porters, stouts, old ales and any dark ale.

  • 4.5 kg Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 35 g Pride of Ringwood - 10.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Moderate.

  • 15 g Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Mild. Slightly flowery.

  • 15 g Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 1 min

  • White Labs WLP009 Australian Ale

    White Labs WLP009 Australian Ale

    Produces a clean, malty beer. Pleasant ester character, can be described as "bready". Can ferment successfully, and clean, at higher temperatures. This yeast combines good flocculation with good attenuation.

Notes

7gm Goldings dry hopped into the fermenter. Cooper's Pale Ale yeast cultivated for pitching from a starter.

Needed more hop flavour

Nice beer but I prefer my IPA with a little more flavour. Probably include another hop addition at 20 minutes ad/or 10 minutes.
