Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .5 lbs American 6-row Pale

    American 6-row Pale

    Tends to increase lautering efficiency due to a stiffer husk. May be used as the base malt for any beer style. The enzymes in all varieties of the current crop are sufficient to support high percentages of specialty malts and adjuncts.

  • .5 lbs Munich Malt

    Munich Malt

    Sweet, toasted flavor and aroma. For Oktoberfests and malty styles

  • .25 lbs Dextrine Malt

    Dextrine Malt

    In light-colored beers to give additional body. Adds richness without color.

  • 6 lbs Liquid Amber Extract

    Liquid Amber Extract

    Amber is used predominantly in the production of medium-colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters.

  • 1.5 oz Northern Brewer - 7.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • 1.0 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • .5 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • Wyeast 1098 British Ale™

This one is going to be a great beer, maybe not a "true" ESB, but a good beer nonetheless. It will naturally carbonate in the keg and then rapidly disappear I suppose. - Rocks2GW
