Modified this slightly to avoid turning off guests who prefer bud-miller type lighter beers, replaced rice syrup with cane sugar. (tho i recomend 1/2 lbs rice syrup and 1/2 lb less mde to lower alcohol lvl's a bit) Also used 1/4 tettnenger hopps with the 15min boil

Ingredients (Extract6 gal)

  • 1.0 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 6.0 lbs Dry Extra Light; Muntons

    Dry Extra Light; Muntons

    Contains no colored malts or unmalted products; the light color of this product is achieved by using low processing temperatures and low-colored raw materials.

  • 1.0 lbs White Table Sugar (Sucrose)

    White Table Sugar (Sucrose)

    Common household table/baking sugar. Lightens flavor and body of beer. Can contribute a cider-like flavor to the beer if not cold-fermented or used in large quantities.

  • 1.0 oz Tettnanger - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • .5 oz Fuggle - 4.2 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Fuggle

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

  • 1.0 oz Tettnanger - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

  • 1 tbsp Irish Moss in 15 min boil - (omitted from calculations)

    This yeast is used to produce American style lagers. Dry and clean with a very slight apple fruitiness. Sulfur and diacetyl production is minimal.
