    An English thoroughbred and a favored choice of malt for many brewers. Simpsons' Maris Otter has a rich and nutty flavor and despite its small, berry size has a strong husk. This malt delivers predictable brewhouse performance with modest, yet consistent extracts. Brewers can expect good runoffs with clear wort.

Notes

2nd 80 is .75lb c60 and .25 special b. Boiled 1oz of medium American oak shavings in just over 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Collected 9 oz of water and added 6 oz to secondary.
