This beer took a over three weeks to become carbonated after bottling. It tastes better with age and is quite smooth. It was worth the wait.

  • .33 lbs Cara-Pils® Malt; Briess

    Particularly suited for producing 19th century-style West Coast beers. Retains lager characteristics at temperatures up to 65F, and produces malty, brilliantly-clear beers.

Notes

Steep grains at 158 - 162 degrees for 55 minutes. Add Dry extract at 60 minutes. Added Liquid extract at 30 minutes. Pitched yeast at 73 degrees. Fermenting at 62 degrees for two weeks in primary. Ten days in secondary. 1.048 OG. 1.014 FG. 4.4% Alcohol.
