My first attempt at a RIS. I plan on adding some banana to add a subtle flavor to this rich malty heavy hitter.

  • 14.75 lbs Golden Promise Pale

    Golden Promise Pale

    An especially sweet and clean variety of barley which results in full and malty sweet beer. It has superb hush integrity and delivers fast and consistent mash tun drainage. This malt variety is perfect for brewing up a clear, bright pint.

  • 1.47 lbs American Chocolate Malt

    Use in all types to adjust color and add nutty, toasted flavor. Chocolate flavor.

  • 0.90 lbs Special B - Caramel malt; Dingemans

    Special B - Caramel malt; Dingemans

    The darkest of the Belgian crystal malts, Dingemans Special B will impart a heavy caramel taste and is often credited with the raisin-like flavors of some Belgian Abbey ales. Larger percentages (greater than 5%) will contribute a dark brown-black color and fuller body.

  • 0.83 lbs Carastan® Malt; Bairds Malt
