Honey Hefe
Weizen/Weissbier • Extract • 6.5 gal
First attempt at a Weizenbier/Weissbier. I started with Charlie Papazian's The New Complete Joy of Homebrewing's "Lovebite Weizenbier" and added honey 15min before the end of the boil. Great banana and clove flavors from the yeast turned out an easy drinking, awesome tasting brew. Next run I'll mash .25 lbs of the Gambrinis Honey Malt. I'm hoping to add a subtle honey taste with the banana clove. I'm also going to double the honey to 2lbs.
