Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 7 lbs Liquid Amber Extract

    Liquid Amber Extract

    Amber is used predominantly in the production of medium-colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters.

  • 2 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 2 oz Cascade - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 50 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • .5 oz Crystal - 3.2 AA% pellets; boiled 10 min

    Crystal

    Mild. 'Noble'. Used mainly for its aroma which is mild and pleasant.

  • .5 oz Mt. Hood - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 40 min

    Mt. Hood

    Used mainly for aroma and flavor in American and German style ales and lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant, light, and clean.

  • 0.5 tsp Irish Moss - (omitted from calculations)

  • Wyeast 1024 Belgian Ale

    Wyeast 1024 Belgian Ale

    Banana-estery. Clove-like phenolics. Intended for abbey beers.

good taste, full body, and hidden punch from higher alcohol- not for every day drinking
