    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 0.5 lbs Caramel Munich 40 Malt; Malteries Franco-Belges

    Caramel Munich 40 Malt; Malteries Franco-Belges

    These malts are highly modified, caramelized and slightly roasted and are especially well suited to beers requiring additional caramel malt flavor and color.

  • 0.61 lbs Vienna Malt; Briess

    Vienna Malt; Briess

    Malty, very slight biscuit flavor. Characteristics & Applications: • Can be used as a base malt • Use with Caramel Malts to produce malty red and amber beers. • Produced from AMBA/BMBRI recommended 6-Row Malting Barley varieties.

  • 0.5 lbs Dextrine Malt

    Dextrine Malt

    In light-colored beers to give additional body. Adds richness without color.

  • 0.5 oz Columbus - 18.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Used mainly for bittering with some flavor qualities as well. Aroma is pleasant.

  • 0.60 oz Palisade® - 7.7 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Palisade®

    Palisade™ is an aroma type cultivar bred by Yakima Chief Ranches. Used for its aromatic properties and moderate bittering.

  • 0.60 oz Centennial - 10.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.
