  • .50 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • .75 lbs Crystal Malt 120°L

    Crystal Malt 120°L

    Pronounced caramel flavor and a red color. For stouts, porters and black beers.

  • 8 lbs Liquid Dark Extract

    Liquid Dark Extract

    Used predominantly in the production of dark beers such as milds, browns, porters, and stouts.

  • 2 oz Northern Brewer - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • .5 oz Northern Brewer - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

Used 300L in place of 120L. Very dark, ie Black Gold OG 1.060

great in original form and usable to drift more towards IPA side

played with recipe by adding more hops to make it almost a IPA/Porter style of beer. Put some aside for almost a year and found it better than when new.
