  • 1 oz Magnum - 15.0 AA% whole; boiled 90 min

    Magnum

Bred in 1980 at Germany’s Hüll Hop Research Center, this high-alpha variety is renowned for its exceptionally large, heavy cones. Hallertauer Magnum delivers excellent yields and, like many Hüll-developed hops, boasts a strong resistance to disease.

  • 1 oz Hallertau - 3.8 AA% pellets; boiled 2 min

    Hallertau

Good for all around bittering and finishing stock ales, Belgian ales, and continental style lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant and flowery.

  • Wyeast 2206 Bavarian Lager

    Wyeast 2206 Bavarian Lager

Used by many German breweries to produce rich, full-bodied, malty beers. Good choice for Bocks and Dopplebocks.

Good session beer

This turned out well. Bitterness ok but needs more hop flavor / nose. Could also be dryer, even though it finished quite low. Maybe add some simple sugars next time, or mash even lower.
