Schwarzbier II

Schwarzbier (Black Beer) • All Grain • 10 gal

I prefer to avoid the pils malt in many recipes, so I can do a 60 minute boil rather than 90.

A crowd-pleaser

I wanted to submit this to contests to see how it would score, but it was consumed too quickly by friends and relatives. I really liked the absence of the "pils" flavor, but I think it may need to have the munich dialed back a bit for the style. As it was, it was a tremendously drinkable beer with a good malty balance.
