Ingredients (All Grain23 L)

  • 4.00 kg Maris Otter Pale

    Maris Otter Pale

An English thoroughbred and a favored choice of malt for many brewers. Simpsons' Maris Otter has a rich and nutty flavor and despite its small, berry size has a strong husk. This malt delivers predictable brewhouse performance with modest, yet consistent extracts. Brewers can expect good runoffs with clear wort.

  • 1.00 kg English Wheat Malt

    English Wheat Malt

Light flavor, creamy head. For wheat beers, stouts, doppelbocks and alt beers.

  • .250 kg CaraMalt; Beeston

    CaraMalt; Beeston

Often used to give color and flavor to pale lagers.

  • 24 g Pride of Ringwood - 8.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Pride of Ringwood

    Moderate.

  • 30 g East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 20 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • 30 g East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.

Notes

Had a mate coming round to see how I brew . So I made this recipe up on the fly. No idea what it's going to taste like . I had heaps of Super Pride hops and EKG. The hops is actually super pride for 60 min, EKG @ 20 min and EKG @ 5 min , with 20gm EKG dry hopped.
