  • 7 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • .5 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • .5 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • .5 lbs Crystal Malt 120°L

    Crystal Malt 120°L

    Pronounced caramel flavor and a red color. For stouts, porters and black beers.

  • .25 lbs Special Roast Malt; Briess

    Special Roast Malt; Briess

    Toasty, biscuity, sour, tangy flavors. Notes

Added 2 30oz cans pumkin pie filling to the mash and 1/4 tsp pie spice to the boil. Mashed low at 150. Should have been 154. Brewed 9/3/2009. O.G. 1.054. FG 1.012 9/21/09. Transfer to 2ndary and added 1/4 tsp pie spice. Into keg 9/28 at 1.010
