Ingredients (All Grain36 L)

  • 4 kg Maris Otter Pale

    Maris Otter Pale

An English thoroughbred and a favored choice of malt for many brewers. Simpsons' Maris Otter has a rich and nutty flavor and despite its small, berry size has a strong husk. This malt delivers predictable brewhouse performance with modest, yet consistent extracts. Brewers can expect good runoffs with clear wort.

  • 2 kg English Wheat Malt

    English Wheat Malt

Light flavor, creamy head. For wheat beers, stouts, doppelbocks and alt beers.

  • 2 kg Torrified Wheat

    Torrified Wheat

Helps head retention and mouthfeel, used in some pale ales.

  • 0.25 kg Oats Flaked

    Oats Flaked

Belgian White Ale(wit), other specialty beers.

  • 70 g Styrian Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Styrian Goldings

    Mild, pleasant.

  • 20 g Styrian Goldings - 6.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Styrian Goldings

    Mild, pleasant.

  • 20 g Saaz - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 1 min

    Saaz

Used for finishing pilseners, continental lagers, and wheats. The aroma is spicy and pleasant with fragrant overtones.

  • White Labs WLP550 Belgian Ale

    White Labs WLP550 Belgian Ale

Saisons, Belgian Ales, Belgian Reds, Belgian Browns, and White beers are just a few of the classic Belgian beer styles that can be created with this yeast strain. Phenolic and spicy flavors dominate the profile, with less fruitiness then WLP500.

Notes

20g Ground coriander seed, the zest of 1 unwaxed lemon and 1 gram of mace were added. The spices with 10 minutes to go ad the mace at flameout.
