Ingredients (All Grain6 gal)

  • 8 lbs German Dark Munich

    German Dark Munich

Enhances body and aroma. Stout, schwarzbier, brown ale, dark and amber ales.

  • 1.2 lbs German Wheat Malt Light

    German Wheat Malt Light

Typical top fermented aroma, produces superb wheat beers.

  • .4 lbs English Chocolate Malt

    English Chocolate Malt

Dark malt that gives a rich red or brown color and nutty flavor. Use for: Brown ales, porters, some stouts Maintains some malty flavor, not as dark as roasted malt.

  • 2.4 lbs Weyermann CaraMunich® I; Weyermann

    Weyermann CaraMunich® I; Weyermann

Provides body. For Oktoberfest, bock, porter, stout, red, amber and brown ales.

  • .75 oz Hallertauer Mittelfrüher - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Hallertauer Mittelfrüher

    Fine, 'Noble'.

  • .75 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • .5 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • BrewTek CL-670 Swiss Lager

    BrewTek CL-670 Swiss Lager

A unique strain that has both a clean, crisp lager flavor and a soft, smooth maltiness. Perfect for European Pilsners. Like our CL-660 strain, this is an excellent all purpose Lager yeast for those wanting a fuller, rounder palate.

Notes

Vienna is actually half pils (4 lbs each). CaraMunich1 is actually half melanoidin (1.2 lbs each). Though if I did it again, I'd use a little more crystal & less melanoidin (perhaps even 1.8 lbs & .6 lbs) Should be 35 IBU.
