I got this recipe from More Beer. Excellent beer.

Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 13 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • .5 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • .5 lbs White Wheat Malt

    White Wheat Malt

    Weizens. Improves head retention in all beers. Contributes spicy flavor. Protein rest required.

  • .5 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 4 oz Glacier - 6.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Glacier

    An excellent new variety with balanced bittering properties combined with a good aroma profile.

  • 1 oz Centennial - 10.4 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 6.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • .5 oz Millenium - 6.0 AA% pellets; added dry to secondary fermenter

    Millenium

    Very new hop. Primarily used for alpha potential.

  • 1 oz Centennial - 10.4 AA% pellets; added dry to secondary fermenter

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

Wow this came out great!

I have finally finished off the keg. The brew came out at 8.3% ABV. If you love Double IPA's you will love this beer. I did get the recipe from More Beer. Thank you! I'm going to make this again this wee, but this time I'm going to reduce the bitterness.

i love DIPA'S! my pitbulls' nickname is piggy cuz he snorts. im gonna brew this just for that reason!! haha!! i'll post up how amazing it turns out!!
