Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 9/16 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 1/16 lbs British Black Patent

    British Black Patent

    Dry, burnt, chalky character. Use in porters, stouts, brown ales and dark lagers.

  • 5 7/8 lbs Dry Amber Extract

    Dry Amber Extract

    Cream-colored and full-flavored; will produce amber colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters. Made of pale and crystal malts.

  • 1 5/8 oz Chinook - 7.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Chinook

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 1 1/4 oz Bullion - 5.5 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Bullion

    Neutral. Not highly regarded.

  • Wyeast 3766 Cider

    Wyeast 3766 Cider

    Crisp dry fermenting yeast with big, fruity finish. Creates a nice balance for all types of apples, pears and other fruit or fermentables. Allows fruit character to dominate the profile.
