Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 7.5 lbs Midwest Wheat Malt

    Midwest Wheat Malt

    Light flavor and creamy head. For American weizenbier, weissbier and dunkelweiss.

  • 3.25 lbs Belgian Pils

    Belgian Pils

    Pilsner style malted barley grain.

  • .5 oz Czech Saaz - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Czech Saaz

    Very mild. 'Noble'.

  • .5 oz Vanguard - 4.4 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min

    Vanguard

    Still being tested and looked at by micro & craft breweries.

  • .5 oz Crystal - 2.5 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    Crystal

    Mild. 'Noble'. Used mainly for its aroma which is mild and pleasant.

  • .5 oz Mt. Hood - 3.7 AA% whole; boiled 30 min

    Mt. Hood

    Used mainly for aroma and flavor in American and German style ales and lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant, light, and clean.

  • Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Weizen™

    Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Weizen™

    Unique top-fermenting yeast which produces the unique and spicy weizen character, rich with clove, vanilla and banana. Best results are achieved when fermentations are held around 68F.
