Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 10 lbs German 2-row Pils

    German 2-row Pils

  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • .5 lbs Belgian Caramunich

    Belgian Caramunich

    Caramel, full flavor, copper color. For Belgian ales, German smoked and bocks.

  • .25 lbs Roasted Barley

    Roasted Barley

    Sweet, grainy, coffee flavor and a red to deep brown color. For porters and stouts.

  • .75 lbs White Wheat Malt

    White Wheat Malt

    Weizens. Improves head retention in all beers. Contributes spicy flavor. Protein rest required.

  • 1 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • 1 oz Willamette - 6.7 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    This hop is used for finishing and dry hopping American and British style ales. Aroma is mild and pleasant ans slightly spicy

  • 2 oz Mt. Hood - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Used mainly for aroma and flavor in American and German style ales and lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant, light, and clean.

  • 2 oz hibiscus 5min. - (omitted from calculations)

  • Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale™

    Slight residual diacetyl and fruitiness; great for stouts. Clean, smooth, soft and full-bodied.

Notes

This beer finished at the lowest gravity I've ever gotten, so I'm happy about that. It tasted pretty good at bottling, so we'll see how it is in another month or so. The hibiscus unfortunately I didn't notice much when I tasted at bottling. Boil volume is approximate - I don't remember that exactly.
