Mothers Helper

Mothers Helper

Extra Special/Strong Bitter (English Pale Ale) • All Grain • 27 L

Gavin

A Boddingtons clone i decided to make after I visited this fine ale once again. The recipe is derived from taste and came out very close to the real thing, only a little stronger. I raised the EBU to 35 as a matter of personal taste, but Boddingtons is around 30. This was made for my wife after the birth of our first son when after a year of abstinance from beer etc, she had a pint of Boddingtons and immediately requested a full keg!! Hence the name "Mothers Helper."
