  • 4 lbs German 2-row Pils

    Light flavor and creamy head. For American weizenbier, weissbier and dunkelweiss.

  • 1 lbs American Munich

    Munich Dunkels. Adds color/nutty flavor. Sometimes called Aromatic.

  • .25 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 0.25 lbs Wheat Flaked

    Wheat Flaked

    Belgian White Ale(wit), other specialty beers.

  • .375 oz Cascade - 5.4 AA% pellets; boiled 90 min

Brew Notes

9/14/2008: Brew day. Mash ph 5.5. OG = 1.048. Pitched yeast with wort at 80 F, 4:30 PM. 9/15/2008: 6:00 AM, Good krausen formed. 9/17/2008: Primary ferm almost complete, krausen all but gone. Still quite cloudy. Will transfer to secondary soon. 9/18/2008: Transferred to secondary, SP: 1.016 9/27/2008: Pimed with 3/4 cup corn sugar and bottled. FG: 1.012. No off flavors.
