An English thoroughbred and a favored choice of malt for many brewers. Simpsons' Maris Otter has a rich and nutty flavor and despite its small, berry size has a strong husk. I tried this beer today out of the primary(27 gallon conicle). Today is day 7. I used London 1028 for the yeast. The O.G. was 1.047 and is currently at 1.013. I am very happy with the flavor but it is a little darker than I expected. So far this looks like a great beer for the winter cold. Can't wait for the finished product. Happy brewing and bottoms up! -Sean-
