Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 11 lbs German Dark Munich

    German Dark Munich

    Enhances body and aroma. Stout, schwarzbier, brown ale, dark and amber ales.

  • 5 lbs Rye Malt

    Rye Malt

    Often used in German Ales and specialty beers

  • 2 lbs Honey Malt

    Honey Malt

    Nutty honey flavor. For brown ales, Belgian wheats, bocks and many other styles.

  • .5 lbs Molasses

    Molasses

    Imparts strong sweet flavor. Use in stouts and porters.

  • 1 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • 1 lbs Maple Syrup

    Maple Syrup

    Imparts a dry, woodsy flavor if used in the boil. If beer is bottled with it, it gives it a smooth sweet, maple taste. Use in maple ales, pale ales, brown ales and porters.

  • .75 oz Spalt Spalter - 4.8 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 1 oz Vanguard - 5.8 AA% whole; boiled 30 min

  • White Labs WLP885 Zurich Lager

    White Labs WLP885 Zurich Lager

    Swiss style lager yeast. With proper care, this yeast can be used to produce lager beer over 11% ABV. Sulfur and diacetyl production is minimal. Original culture provided to White Labs by Marc Sedam. Available Sept.-Oct.
