Ingredients (All Grain3 gal)

  • 9 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1 lbs Black Roasted Barley

    Black Roasted Barley

Unmalted roasted grain, it is the backbone of many stouts. Imparts a sharp acrid flavor characteristic of dry stouts. Gives "dryness" to a stout or porter ,more so than regular Roasted Barley.

  • .75 lbs Belgian Special B

    Belgian Special B

  • .5 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 2 oz Strisselspalter - 3.2 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Strisselspalter

    French variety related to Hallertauer.

  • .5 oz Nelson Sauvin™ - 14.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Nelson Sauvin™

Early trials with Nelson Sauvin immediately revealed it to be somewhat different in its brewing character than other hop cultivars. This variety imparts certain grape like flavours to the beer; flavours which have yet to be positively identified. To acknowledge this Sauvignon Blanc flavour the variety was named Nelson Sauvin.

  • 32 oz Sauvignon Grape Juice - (omitted from calculations)

    Sauvignon Grape Juice

  • 4 oz Sauvignon Oak Chunks - (omitted from calculations)

    Sauvignon Oak Chunks

  • White Labs WLP011 European Ale

    White Labs WLP011 European Ale

Malty, Northern European-origin ale yeast. Low ester production, giving a clean profile. Little to no sulfur production. Low attenuation helps to contribute to the malty character. Good for Alt, Kolsch, malty English ales, and fruit beers.
