  • 7.50 lbs English 2-row Pale

    English 2-row Pale

    All English Ales. Workhorse of British Brewing. Infusion Mash.

  • 0.40 lbs American Caramel 120°L

    American Caramel 120°L

    Provides color, a unique flavor, body, and contribures to foam retention and beer stability. Gives a pronounced to sharp caramel flavor and a deep red color.

  • .70 oz Northern Brewer - 8.5 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • 1.00 oz Willamette - 4.5 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Willamette

    This hop is used for finishing and dry hopping American and British style ales. Aroma is mild and pleasant ans slightly spicy

  • 0.50 oz Goldings - 4.0 AA% whole; added dry to primary fermenter

    Mild. Slightly flowery.

  • 1.00 oz Goldings - 4.0 AA% whole; added dry to secondary fermenter

    Highly flocculant top-fermenting strain with rich, malty character and balanced fruitiness. This strain is so flocculant that additional aeration and agitation is needed. An excellent strain for cask-conditioned ales.

Notes

Made ahead of the National Homebrew day since I can't make it. Brewed April 3, 2008. Hops are just what they had at the store, I couldn't match what they had at AHA. I'll add some hops on day 3 to the primary, then remaining Goldings to cask when I rack it. I'll rack this directly to a cask (corny keg at slight angle). I'm making this in honor of my friend Clark, who is retiring next month. Gonna miss you bro!
