What is the batch size and the volume boiled here?

This sounds like a pretty nice recipe, but shouldn't the Volume Boiled be bigger then the Batch Size? Just wandering.

hmm, maybe he's got a small boil pot so he's adding water to the fermenter to top it up. dunno!
