Maris Otter Pale
Maris Otter Pale
An English thoroughbred and a favored choice of malt for many brewers. Simpsons' Maris Otter has a rich and nutty flavor and despite its small, berry size has a strong husk. This malt delivers predictable brewhouse performance with modest, yet consistent extracts. Brewers can expect good runoffs with clear wort.

Hello brewer. I plan on brewing this recipe of yours sometime this week. (maybe even tomorrow) I see you have listed in your ingredients "1oz of Licorice". But I'm curious, is this Licorice root, or did you put in some black licorice candy or Star Anise seeds or something else? And when did you add these things? Also, were you satisfied with the flavor or was it too strong? Thank you!
