Ingredients (All Grain5.2 gal)

  • 14 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1 lbs American Caramel 60°L

    American Caramel 60°L

Mild caramel, nutty flavor, sweet. adds color

  • 1 lbs Toasted Pale Malt

    Toasted Pale Malt

Imparts nutty flavor and aroma. Use in IPAs and Scottish ales.

  • 1 lbs Munich Malt

    Munich Malt

Sweet, toasted flavor and aroma. For Oktoberfests and malty styles

  • 0.25 lbs Black Roasted Barley

    Black Roasted Barley

Unmalted roasted grain, it is the backbone of many stouts. Imparts a sharp acrid flavor characteristic of dry stouts. Gives "dryness" to a stout or porter ,more so than regular Roasted Barley.

  • 0.7 oz Vanguard - 6.0 AA% pellets; boiled 90 min

    Vanguard

Still being tested and looked at by micro & craft breweries.

  • Munton-Fison Active Brewing Yeast

    Munton-Fison Active Brewing Yeast

Some fruity esters, attenuative, fair to good reputation.

Notes

Caramelize some of the wort to add flavor.
