A Marzen that should hopefully be a HB clone. We'll see in September. Had to swap out a few components, probably won't be a clone anymore.

Ingredients (All Grain10 gal)

  • 18.26 lbs German Vienna

    German Vienna

    Increases malty flavor, provides balance. Use in Vienna, Märzen and Oktoberfest.

  • 3.39 lbs German Light Munich

    German Light Munich

    For a desired malty, nutty flavor. Lagers, Oktoberfests and bock beer.

  • .25 lbs Crystal Malt 90°L

    Crystal Malt 90°L

    Body and Richness. Distictive Nutty flavor and or sweet, smooth caramel flavor and a red to deep red color. For porters, old ales.

  • .5 lbs Belgian Caramunich

    Belgian Caramunich

    Caramel, full flavor, copper color. For Belgian ales, German smoked and bocks.

  • 1.9 oz Saaz - 5.8 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Saaz

    Used for finishing pilseners, continental lagers, and wheats. The aroma is spicy and pleasant with fragrant overtones.

  • .5 oz Vanguard - 4.4 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Still being tested and looked at by micro & craft breweries.
