Saison
Saison • All Grain • 5 gal
A pre-modern Belgian style that was made in household breweries during spring. Saisons are brewed hoppy and fairly strong in order to keep through the summer, but this kit is great at any time of year. A solid malt bill and a small addition of sweet caramel malt provide the basic structure and three additions of hops give the beer a bracing bitterness and floral overtones. Wyeast Belgian Ardennes yeast brings it to life with striking spicy, peppery and earthy tartness.
