Liliputian Stout
Sweet Stout • All Grain • 2 gal
My first attempt at an all grain recipe so I only made it a 2 gallon batch...hence the "Lilliputian" in the name.

White Labs WLP004 Irish Stout
White Labs WLP004 Irish Stout
This is the yeast from one of the oldest stout producing breweries in the world. It produces a slight hint of diacetyl, balanced by a light frui|iness and slight dry crispness. Great for Irish ales, stouts, porters, browns, reds and a very interesting pal
Notes
I'm thinking I'd add the molasses at flame out to retain the flavor and aroma. I call this Lillputian because it's my first attempt at an all grain recipe and I wanted to try it in a 2 gallon batch so I could use my MrBeer equipment.

designed for small batch brewing

I designed this recipe to be my first all grain brew. I wanted to try something on a small batch level...when I make it, I'll comment further.
Mr. Beer CAN Work

You may want to consider tweaking the mr. beer system though. You can drill a hole and put an airlock on it. You may also want to consider buying a three gallon carboy for a secondary, since mr. beer isn't the best system for protecting against oxidation. Or, you may want to try covering up the two notches on the neck of the mr. beer keg. I have done this, but only once. The beer turned out great and I wish I had more when it was gone.
