    Use in all types to adjust color and add nutty, toasted flavor. Chocolate flavor.

"Good...But Not the Right Category"

Brewed and entered into the Foam on the Range regional contest...unfortunately, I entered it into the American Amber Ale category instead of the brown ale category. Quoted a judge: "Nice beer, but not to style. Needs more hops and less dark malt. Would do better in another category (Brown Ale). Nice try." I agree. Despite the judges comments, this beer turned out very well. If you want more "hop character" increase the aroma hop additions another 25-50%. A dry hop addition of 1-2 oz. of Amarillo would be nice as well.
