This beer has won a couple of contests, but I would switch to a milder American hop and a California ale yeast if I were to make it again.

Ingredients (All Grain6 gal)

  • 7.8 lbs American 6-row Pale

    American 6-row Pale

    Tends to increase lautering efficiency due to a stiffer husk. May be used as the base malt for any beer style. The enzymes in all varieties of the current crop are sufficient to support high percentages of specialty malts and adjuncts.

  • 5.2 lbs English Wheat Malt

    Light flavor, creamy head. For wheat beers, stouts, doppelbocks and alt beers.

  • 0.5 oz Cluster - 7.1 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min
