Vienna Lager • All Grain • 25 L

This Vienna is a bit light in colour which could be darker with the addition of some dark Munich. However too much munich or too much crystal etc detracts from the "vienna" flavour. I certainly like the Viennas made along these lines though they could be darker.

  • 3 kg English 2-row Vienna

    English 2-row Vienna

  • 0.200 kg Dextrine Malt

    Dextrine Malt

    In light-colored beers to give additional body. Adds richness without color.

  • 0.2 kg Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 2.5 kg English 2-row Munich

    English 2-row Munich

    Used for extra flavour and colour in nitro-keg ales.

  • 25 g Hallertauer Hersbrucker - 3.6 AA% pellets; boiled 45 min

    Hallertauer Hersbrucker

    Mild to strong. 'Noble'.

  • 25 g Tettnanger - 5.2 AA% pellets; boiled 70 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 8 g Hallertauer Hersbrucker - 3.2 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Mild to strong. 'Noble'.

  • 7 g Tettnanger - 5.2 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • Wyeast 3766 Cider

    Wyeast 3766 Cider

    Crisp dry fermenting yeast with big, fruity finish. Creates a nice balance for all types of apples, pears and other fruit or fermentables. Allows fruit character to dominate the profile.
