I have not brewed this recipe yet but will this weekend or next after I build my mash tun and ferm. cooler. I am also using the Pacman yeast strain from WYeast instead of the one listed here. I will post comments after brew day. I'm shooting for something similar to Rogue's St. Rogue Red..........

Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 5.5 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 4.25 lbs German 2-row Pils

    German 2-row Pils

  • .375 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 2.875 lbs German Dark Munich

    German Dark Munich

    Enhances body and aroma. Stout, schwarzbier, brown ale, dark and amber ales.

  • .375 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • .75 lbs Crystal Malt 120°L

    Crystal Malt 120°L

    Pronounced caramel flavor and a red color. For stouts, porters and black beers.

  • .5 lbs Wheat Flaked

    Belgian White Ale(wit), other specialty beers.

  • 1 oz Chinook - 10.7 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min
