    American Caramel 80°L

Mild caramel, nutty flavor, sweet. adds color(Red Ale)

  • 10 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1 lbs Midwest Wheat Malt

    Midwest Wheat Malt

Light flavor and creamy head. For American weizenbier, weissbier and dunkelweiss.

  • .5 oz Cascade - 5.6 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Cascade

Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • .8 oz Challenger - 7.1 AA% pellets; boiled 45 min

    Challenger

Popular bittering hop used primarily in British ales and lagers. Mild to moderate aroma, but quite spicy.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 5.6 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Cascade

Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.

Notes

It is much paler that calculated. Also add 1oz Cascade for 1 min and 1oz of whole Cascade in 2ndary. This is the best batch ever! I'm to cheap for beertools gold!
