Ingredients (All Grain12 gal)

  • 24 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 4 lbs German Light Munich

    German Light Munich

    For a desired malty, nutty flavor. Lagers, Oktoberfests and bock beer.

  • 2 lbs Belgian Special B

    Belgian Special B

  • 1 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 1 lbs Candi Sugar Clear

    Candi Sugar Clear

    Smooth taste, good head retention, sweet aroma and high gravity without being apparent. Use in Belgian and holiday ales. Use clear for tripels, amber for dubbels, and dark is used in brown beer and strong golden ales.

  • 1.5 oz Challenger - 8.0 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

  • 1 oz Saaz - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

Notes

Add 2(?) lbs of Canned, or Steamed and Peeled Pumpkin, in a nylon bag, to mash. This is an attempt to lighten the body and tweak a previous batch that was a huge hit.
