Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 7 lbs English 2-row Munich

  • 1 lbs Acidulated Malt

  • .5 lbs Weyermann Carafa® I; Weyermann

    Gives deep aroma and color to dark beers, bocks, stout, alt and schwarzbier.

  • .5 lbs British Black Patent

    British Black Patent

    Dry, burnt, chalky character. Use in porters, stouts, brown ales and dark lagers.

  • 1 lbs English Chocolate Malt

    English Chocolate Malt

    Dark malt that gives a rich red or brown color and nutty flavor. Use for: Brown ales, porters, some stouts Maintains some malty flavor, not as dark as roasted malt.

  • .25 lbs Chocolate Rye Malt

The Cracklin' Oat Bran was a last minute addition

I figured... why not toss a box of my favorite cereal into the mash? Should be interesting... we'll see. I had a really bad stuck mash with this one til my girlfriend punched the top of the mash tun LOL! Amazing!

Really good, but needs work

The brew is a bit oily (for lack of a better phrase) & the head retention sucks. Tastes real good though :-) If I re-brew this, I'd also go a little lighter on the hops.
