Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 12.50 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1.00 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 1.00 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • 1 oz Chinook - 11.0 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Chinook

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 0.73 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • 0.49 oz Northern Brewer - 9.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • 1.25 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 1 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • 0.48 oz Chinook - 11.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Chinook

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 1.0 oz Fuggle - 4.8 AA% pellets; added dry to secondary fermenter

    Fuggle

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

  • .5 tsp Irish Moss - (omitted from calculations)

  • Wyeast 1028 London Ale™

    Wyeast 1028 London Ale™

    Rich with a dry finish, minerally profile, bold and crisp, with some fruitiness.

Notes

3.5 gal Mash @ 150 for 90 min. Mash out @ 170 with 4.5 gal .5 tsp Irish Moss last 10 min
