Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 11 lbs English 2-row Pale

    English 2-row Pale

    All English Ales. Workhorse of British Brewing. Infusion Mash.

  • 1 lbs American Victory

    American Victory

    Provides a deep golden to brown color. Use in nut brown ales, IPAs and Scottish ales.

  • 1/2 lbs American Caramel 20°L

    American Caramel 20°L

    Provides color, body, and contributes to foam retention and beer stability.

  • 1/2 lbs Dextrine Malt

    Dextrine Malt

    In light-colored beers to give additional body. Adds richness without color.

  • 1 1/8 oz Target - 10.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Target

    Used for its robust bittering ability in British ales and lagers. Aroma is quite intense.

  • 1 1/4 oz Fuggle - 4.8 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Fuggle

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

  • 1 1/4 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • White Labs WLP006 Bedford British Ale

    White Labs WLP006 Bedford British Ale

    Ferments dry and flocculates very well. Produces a distinctive ester profile. Good choice for most English style ales including bitter, pale ale, porter, and brown ale. Available Sept.-Oct.

Notes

-Actually using Marris Otter...but the calculator always over estimates the color contribution from MO -Protein rest @122 for 45 min. -Mash @150 for 90 min. -Using equal mix of Fuggles and EKG for flavor, aroma, and dry hop (1 oz 10 days).
