I went into the brew shop and asked for the ingredients to make a porter. This is what they guy set me up with. I will probably change the name after I finish brewing it.

  • 19.00 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1.00 lbs Belgian Chocolate Malt

    Belgian Chocolate Malt

    Adds a nutty flavor, Brown Ales

  • 0.50 lbs Belgian Biscuit

    Belgian Biscuit

    Warm baked biscuit flavor and aroma. Increases body. Use in Belgian beers.

  • 2.00 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 2.7 oz Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Goldings

    Mild. Slightly flowery.

  • 1.00 oz Willamette - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Willamette

    This hop is used for finishing and dry hopping American and British style ales. Aroma is mild and pleasant ans slightly spicy

  • 1.00 oz Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 1 min

    Goldings

    Mild. Slightly flowery.

  • White Labs WLP005 British Ale

    White Labs WLP005 British Ale

    This yeast is a little more attenuative than WLP002. Like most English strains, this yeast produces malty beers. Excellent for all English style ales including bitter, pale ale, porter, and brown ale.
