Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

Weizens. Improves head retention in all beers. Contributes spicy flavor. Protein rest required.

Hallertau - 3.1 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

Good for all around bittering and finishing stock ales, Belgian ales, and continental style lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant and flowery.

Welp, this if my first attempt at making a light colored beer. I don't know that it will turn out in the proper Kolsch style, but to be honest, this is more for party guests who will be here that don't appreciate some of the other beers I've made, like the Double IPA, Imperial Stout, or American Wheat beer. I made up this recipe yesterday using leftover stuff I had from previous beers, and I thought the closest syle it fit was Kolsch, so that's where I categoriezed it. I'll let you know how it tirns out
